DEVADIGA INCHARA -2012

Devadiga Inchara program was organised by Mahila & Yuva Ghathaka’s of Devadiga Sangha, Bangalore on 29^th January 2012 at Yuvanika, Nrupathunga Road, Bangalore.

The function was formally inaugurated by the Cheif Guest Dr. Praveen Kumar, Medical Director & Eminent Cardiac Surgeon at Narayana Hurdayalaya , along with Smt. Vijayalakshmi, Special Correspondent Suvarna TV Channel. In Presence of Shri. U Raghu Sherigar, President Devadiga Sangha Bangalore, Shri Y . Sundar, Vice President, Shri K. Chandrashekar, Gen Secretary, Smt . Seetha Devadiga, President-Mahila Ghathaka, Shri. Nodu Sadananda, President-Yuva Ghathaka and Shri Ramesh Devadiga Vice President – Yuva Ghathaka.

Shri Rajnikant S Kudpi welcome all the dignitaries, community members and the participant. Shri Nodu Sadananda in his prastavika bashana said the intention of organising the program is to identify the talents in our community and provide them a stage. He also said that sangha is also concentrating on Education and Health related activities for the benefit of our community in rural areas.

Shri K. Chandrashekar in his nudi mathu speech said that Dr Praveen Kumar is a eminent Cardiac Surgeon in Narayana Hurdayalaya and yet very humble, he also remembered his school days with Dr. Praveen Kumar in Mangalore .

Dr Praveen Kumar , while addressing the audience he advised the youngster that they should show interest in whatever they do and excel in it. He also said that he will do whatever possible for the progress of the our community, especially health care.

Smt Vijayalakshmi said that she is happy today for participating in the function

Shri Raghu Sherigar in his speech appreciated the youngster, especially Shri. Nodu Sadananda for inviting eminent Dr Praveen Kumar and also added that Yuva ghathaka is doing excellent work by conducting Vidhya Dhare Education program in rural places.

Later vote of thanks was given by Shri . Ramesh Devadiga and the stage program was anchored by Shri Chandra Maravanthe.

Soon after the Inaugural function the stage was set for Cutural Activities. Shri Ganesh Devadiga, Cultutal Secretary of Yuva Ghathaka along with Smt Sharmila Satish anchored the event. Nearly 45 to 50 team participated in the cultural event. There was variety of performances from singing folk songs to reading of poem by shri Loku Kudla, from Bhartha Nathyam to Odissi dance, Mime, skit and Tulu drama etc . All the audience enjoyed the performance. In the end memento was given to all the participants.

Good number of people scattered over Bangalore attended this Function, especialy younger generation. This type of programme coupled with Sports , Excursion will always draws larger crowds.
