Organized  “ArasinaKumkuma and Get – Together programme   held on 10th February 2012, at Billawara Association Hall, Chembur.

Honouring of the following :

Mr. H. Mohandas - President of DevadigaSangha and Chief Guest of the day was presented a bouquet by Mr. Ramanna B. Devadiga – Chairman – LCC – Chembur.

MrsJayanthi M Devadiga read out the brief profile of  Mr. H. Mohandas, Gopal M Moily  K Bhujangdhar and Puspa S Rao.

Mrs. Ratan R Ullal read out the brief profile  of Mr. Dharmapal U Devadiga.

Mrs. Manjula S Barke read out the brief profile  of Mrs. JayalaxmiDevadiga.

Mrs. Hemalata S Sherigar, read out  the brief profile of Miss PoojaDevadiga.

Mr. H Mohandas  assured full co-operation to LCC to organize more and more programmes by keeping up the tradition of the community and requested all devadigas  to come forward and become members of the Sangha

Mr. K. Bhujangdhar – Ex-President and an active veteran member of Sangha  was presented a bouquet by  Mr. Dayanand M.  Devadiga – Secretary – LCC – Chembur .He too spoke a few kind words.

Mr. Gopal M. Moilly  - Ex President DevadigaSangha was  presented a bouquet by MR. Yeshwant M Devadiga.

Mrs. Pushpa S. Rao – Chairperson - DevadigaSangha (MahilaVibhag)  was presented a bouquet by Mrs. Jayanthi R  Moily  – Chariperson– LCC – Chembur

Mrs. Pushpa S. Rao in her brief speech thanked LCC – Chembur for this kind gesture.

She said this was a great opportunity for local members to come together and assured her full support to LCC. She also spoke upon the idea of a revolving shield to students who will get good marks in higher levels and encouraged all members to come forward with their children.

On this auspicious occasion our most loved and honoured personality Shri. Dharmapal U Devadiga, ex-President of DevadigaSangha – Mumbai and  this year’s recipient of KuvempuVishwaManavaAntharashatriyaPrashahti  was felicitated by Mr. Ramanna B. Devadiga – Chairman LCC -  Chembur along with office bearers and committee members of LCC

He was very moved by this kind gesture and he congratulated LCC – Chembur. He also stressed that we must come together and work for the Sangha, then only our people can get the services of the sangha. We should overcome differences of opinion which hampers the activities of the sangha, then only we can work as a team.

Mr. Ramanna B. Devadiga – LCC Chairman,  informed all members to come forward and become members of the sangha and actively participate in all progreammes

Mr.sJayanthi R. Moily – LCC Chairperson informed that there are many programmes which will be organized in the near future and urged all members to actively participate in the same.

Mr. Punit V Devadiga -Youth committee – Co-ordinator, spoke on the occasion and requested the parents to bring forward their children and enroll them as members of DevadigaSangha and actively participate in the Youth wing.

All ex-Presidents and office bearers of the sangha were honoured with bouquets.

MahilaVibhag members offered HaldiKumkum to all ladies present

There was a  dance performance and entertainment programme conducted by  Youth Wing Members

Vote of Thanks sincerely   delivered by  Mrs. Nirmala R Devadiga to thanks all participants, Committee members, members, for  their co-operation for the progamme, &  also given thanks to Billawa association for providing us the  hall, Media -   Udyavani and Karnataka Malla  and  thanked all those who had contributed directly and indirectly  who are instrumental in making this programme  a grand success.
