Mangalore: The Karnataka Rajya Devadigara Sangha organized a very well organised devoational Shri Satya Narayan Pooja & cultural show in Samaja Bhavan, Mannagudda here on Feb 5.

On behalf of all the members of the Devadiga community and all those devotees assembled, Vaman Maroly and Veni Maroly represented in the Pooja proceedings, which were performed by the priest of Shri Manjunatheshwara temple, Kadri.







The stage programme that followed by presided over by Karnataka Rajya Devadigara Sangha president Dinesh Devadiga. Moodbidri town municipal council president Ratnakara Devadiga, Devadiga Sudharaka Sangha Karkala president Ravindra Moily and Devadiga Samaja Seva Sangha Kundapur president Chandrashekar Devadiga were the guests of honour.



Vice president Vaman Maroly, secretary Ramachandra Devadiga, treasurer Sadashiva Devadiga, Yuva Sanghatane president D K Ashok Kumar and Mahila Sanghatane president Veni Maroly were present.
The stage programme was conducted by secretary Ramachandra Devadiga, assisted by joint secretaries Krishanappa Devadiga and Bhoja Devadiga and Sanghatana secretary Mohan Devadiga Bakimar.
After the lunch-break, a four-hour variety entertainment show was presented by the members of Devadiga Sanghas of Bhatkal, Kundapur, Udupi, Karkala, Pavanje, Venoor, Suratkal and Mangalore. The show was appreciated by one and all for this cultural extravaganza as it signifies Unity in Diversity of the sanghas of Karavali area.




The cultural show was coordinated by convener Subhash Kanvateertha, assisted by Mahila Sanghatane president Veni Maroly, and secretaries Hema Devadiga and Roopika Devadiga.

Elder members of K R D S distributed mementoes to all participants of cultural events in recognition of their active participation.
Treasurer Sadashiva Devadiga thanked all the guests, organizers, participants and all those who had gathered for their encouragement.

But like to see more people from Mangalore to be there to participate/attend. Community people from Mangalore and Committee both should really work on bringing more community members to the sangha.
