Karkal: Dynamic social worker, Mr. Ravishakar Sherigar has been elected as President of Youth congress of Karkala assembly constituency  recently.

He is the youngest son of respected Mr. Mala Gopala Sherigar and Smt. Lalitha Gopala Sherigar of Mala.

MALA family is now known as the most celebrated among the families in our community with their zeal in learning, entrepreneurship and of course by their whole hearted social service.

Mr.Bhaskar Sherigar, Mr. Sadananda Sherigar, Dr.Rathnakar Sherigar, Mr. Krishna Sherigar, Dr. Jagannath Sherigar & Mr. Sudhakar Sherigar have been recognized as the most successful & good hearted brothers in our community and in the region. Buoyant by this heritage and influenced by their success stories, now the youngest of all Mr. Ravishankar is shaping up well as the leader in his own rights and emerging as an  young and energetic youth icon in Karkala Assembly Constituency.

Mr.Ravishankar was born in Mala on 1st April 1981 and is a Graduate in Science from Sri.Bhuvanendra College Karkal.

He has taken active interest in cultural activates during his college days and was a member of College Drama team which performed in State Level Drama Competition organized by Ranga Bhoomo, Udupi.

Professionally he is the Director of Karnataka Computer Education and Proprietor: Durgaparameshwari Motors, Bajagoli - Mala

He is married to Ms. Jyothi Sherigar.
