We reached the Sangama at 11 am. This is the place where river Arkavathi joins Cauvery. Our bus stops here, further journey to Mekedatu is to cross the river either by walk or Theppa, for an experience we preferred theppa. The Journey is not over yet, an old bus will take us to Makedatu, which is 5 kms away.

After the horrible travel in the bus of 5 kms, we were in Mekedatu. Here one cannot take their view out, the River Cauvery flows forcefully through the softened & carved rocky ravine. It is believed that the sheep (Meke) jumped (Datu) the other side in one of the point were the ravine is further narrowed. The Organiser took all the precautions at this point in Mekedatu to make the view memorable.
On return to the camp in the same old bus, the lunch was ready and the tired members enjoyed on the hot food served to them.

The games was still there, but the sun was setting in the west, and the dusky sky was turning dark soon, indicating us to return back home.
Everything has to end, so was our excursion, but with a happy note in the smiling faces of the members. Thanks to Organisers.
